Functionalization of the Graphonyx material causes further graphitization and re-crystallization of the nano-structured carbon, which changes its properties. The research conducted demonstrated that GNO’s functionalization process is a important step, in the context of applications, for developing a variety of Graphonyx materials that are superior in terms of better crystallization, higher degree of graphitization, thermal stability, and electrical conductivity.
